Maude Applegate Rucker. She was the wife of Edgar P Rucker Attorney General of WV while Maude was the granddaughter of William Clark of the famed Lewis and Clark Expedition. Edgar Parks Rucker (1861-1908) — also known as Edgar P. Rucker — of McDowell County, W.Va. Born December 23, 1861. Republican. West Virginia state attorney general, 1897-1901.
